My right side grew weaker yet overused, my left side cramped and rigid, and I lost all sense of bodily awareness. Somatics changed everything: I discovered the Cat Stretch, Thomas Hanna’s approach to retraining muscles and calming that nagging, old pain once triggered by a single wrong move. Through consistent practice, I’ve reclaimed shoulder stability, hip alignment, and the ability to feel which muscles are truly engaging.
